Let's Get Political!
April 8, 2015, 7:00 p.m. (MB) / 6:00 p.m. (AB/SK)

The next federal election is scheduled for October 19, 2015. This will be a monumental election for PSAC members, the entire labour movement and all Canadians. The outcome will have a lasting impact on this country, especially if the blatantly anti-worker, anti-labour Conservative government is re-elected.

Employers may try to discourage employees from participating in political activitiy, but it's your democratic right. With a federal election looming and provincial elections to follow, find out how to exercise your political rights while protecting your jobs.

    What will be covered?

Political doesn't have to mean partisan, and we'll discuss the different ways you can get involved while still ensuring you don't contravene employer policies. We'll also review the political rights of PSAC members and talk about how you can get involved in the upcoming federal and provincial elections.

    Who should register?

Anyone who wants to see a positive political change in this country and wants to know how they can engage in the process. If you vote, you're already engaging in political activity. Learn how to build on that foundation and encourage others to join you.
