Education in Calgary

This two-day course is for First Nation, Inuit and Métis members who have had little or no exposure to the PSAC and would like to learn more about it.

This fall we will hold three NAPC courses for Aboriginal, Inuit and Métis members—one in Alberta (November 26-27), one in Saskatchewan (December 10-11) and one in Manitoba (December 4-5). This two-day course is for First Nation, Inuit and Métis members who have had little or no exposure to their union and would like to learn more about it. 

The PSAC’s Union Development Program (UDP) has been one of the most comprehensive union leadership training programs in Canada for more than 35 years.  CLICK HERE TO APPLY! The deadline date for applications is Friday October 7, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

This course focuses on the process, development and support of resolutions. Open to all Southern Alberta Members.

NEW DATES (JANUARY 14-15, 2017): This new two-day advanced course provides information and enforcement tools on the Canada Labour Code Part II requirements on violence prevention.  Open to all Southern Alberta Members.

This course has been postponed until the new year. Date TBD Open to all Calgary Area Members.

Local union representatives meet with management representatives as equals for various reasons... Open to all Southern Alberta Members.

This two-day course gives new stewards essential knowledge for handling Level 1 grievances. Open to Calgary and Area Members.

This Friday night/Saturday course is the union’s key “introductory” education event. Open to all Calgary and Area Members.
