Message of Solidarity for UofM Professors on Strike

In a letter of support and solidarity to UMFA President Mark Hudson, Marianne Hladun assured UMFA members that we stand together with them in their fight for fairness. Professors at the University of Manitoba are entering their third week of strike action. Hladun and PSAC members have been proud to walk the picket line with members of the University of Manitoba Faculty Association. Both sides have returned to the bargaining table, and we hope for a fair and equitable solution for all.

On November 1, 2016, Marianne Hladun, PSAC Prairies Regional Executive Vice-President, presented to the Manitoba government's Standing Committee on Social and Economic Development. She appeared in front of Committee members in the Manitoba Legislative Building to submit PSAC's position on Bill 7: The Labour Relations Amendment Act.
