On May 30, 2013, a meeting was organized by the Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) Manitoba Region Council of Local Presidents and held at the Union Centre in Winnipeg.The meeting was well attended by members who work for all branches of Service Canada, as well as members from the Canadian Immigration Commission and the Immigration and Refuge Board.Marianne Hladun, Regional Executive Vice-President for the PSAC Prairie Region, and Susan Norman, National Vice-President for CEIU Manitoba, were the featured speakers.

On May 14, 2013, PSAC local leaders attended a day-long meeting to discuss the plan to fight back against the threats to our collective agreements, our public services, our jobs, and our union. Nearly 100 local leaders also received special training on how to organize our members to respond to the latest Conservative threats facing PSAC members.

Dear Sisters & Brothers,Re: Solidarity Kid’s Camp of ManitobaThe PSAC Prairie Region is looking for one Sister or Brother from Manitoba to attend the Solidarity Kid’s Camp as camp counsellor at Caddy Lake Camp, in the Whiteshell, during the week of August 18‐24, 2013.  The week‐long camp will focus on issues relevant to young people including challenges, social justice and equality issues. Of course, the camp also includes swimming, games, sports, crafts, movie nights and campfires.
