This one-day course will use a variety of activities to review key components of any PSAC convention including topics such as; resolutions, convention procedures (including rules of order), building an inclusive Convention, and mock resolution debate.

This fall we will hold three NAPC courses for Aboriginal, Inuit and Métis members—one in Alberta (November 26-27), one in Saskatchewan (December 10-11) and one in Manitoba (December 4-5).
This two-day course is for First Nation, Inuit and Métis members who have had little or no exposure to their union and would like to learn more about it.

The Stewards Mini-Schools will be offered to local stewards this fall to incorporate all of the introductory modules listed below. These workshops are designed to be taken individually, so you do not have to take mini-school #1 to take mini-school #2, however all of these workshops will be of great benefit to you as a steward and will only allow you to expand your abilities to represent your members.

This one-day course will assist members to write clear and meaningful resolutions. It will also identify how to follow the appropriate process for submitting resolutions through locals or other union bodies. Discussions on how to develop long-term strategies for obtaining support for the resolutions will also take place.

The course also introduces the collective agreement, your employee rights and your rights as a member of the PSAC. You will learn about the many opportunities to be active in the union and ways you can make a contribution to building strong locals in the Prairie region. It is recommended that members take Talking Union Basics first, as it provides the basic knowledge you need to get the most from other PSAC courses.
