(Calgary) November 1, 2013 – As the Conservative Party of Canada gather for their 2013 Policy Convention, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) is calling on the Conservative government to stop the attack on workers and withdraw changes to federal labour legislation from the Budget Implementation Act that would gut collective bargaining rights and health and safety protections.

Community groups to rally outside Conservative Convention in response to harmful policies and continued attacks on Canadians

Community groups, union members and concerned citizens will gather en masse outside the BMO Centre to send a message to Conservative politicians and convention delegates that their reckless policies are hurting Canadians and damaging the country.

REGINA, SK – The Saskatchewan Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (SADAO) and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) call on the Saskatchewan Party to follow through with their verbal commitment to Bill 604, as pledged in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan on Thursday.

Jasper, AB – Residents from Jasper, Hinton and surrounding areas will come together Wednesday to discuss the sale of the Miette Hot Springs in Jasper National Park, one of the three Canadian Rockies Hot Springs facing privatization under Harper’s Conservative government.

Prince Albert, SK – The Public Service Alliance of Canada condemns the federal government for their continued attacks on Canada’s most valuable natural ecosystems and natural areas, including the most recent decision to stop grooming cross country ski trails in Prince Albert National Park.
