A new report released today details the significant impacts the Harper Conservatives inflicted on the prairies while in power.

Lethbridge, AB – The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will host a free public screening of We Are Wisconsin to highlight the similarities between the 2012 Wisconsin struggle for labour rights and the challenges facing workers in Canada today. PSAC National President Robyn Benson will be in Lethbridge to introduce the film, speak about the parallels, and answer questions after the film.

Winnipeg, MB – The Public Service Alliance of Canada is worried community safety could be at risk after the federal government terminates a position meant to assist in the coordination of the most dangerous criminals. The community corrections liaison officer position will be terminated nationally at the end of this month in yet another reckless public service cut to balance the federal budget.

Veterans from Brandon and surrounding areas will gather outside the Veterans Affairs Canada office in Brandon this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. to witness the closure of the office and the loss of their face-to-face services.

Veterans from the Saskatoon area have joined forces with the union representing Veterans Affairs front-line workers to speak out against the closure of the Veterans Affairs office in their community.
