Webinar #7: Connect with your National Leadership

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 7th in a series of webinars from the PSAC Prairie Region.

This interactive webinar gave members the opportunity to connect with their national leadership:

  • Chris Aylward, National President, PSAC
  • Magali Picard. National Executive Vice-President. PSAC
  • Marianne Hladun, Regional Executive Vice-President, Prairie Region

They will provided an update on what is happening at the National Level and answered your questions.

You can view the recording here. The handouts from the webinar are also included below.

There was a lot of questions about bargaining. PSAC has urged the governement to get back to the table.

Over the last two months of the COVID-19 pandemic, PSAC members have been on the frontlines battling the virus and delivering emergency financial support to millions of Canadians. They continue to provide these critical services, they do so without a new contract, and many have not seen wage increases for up to four years. Now is the time for the federal government to fix this by heading back to the bargaining table and reaching a settlement for over 140,000 public service workers.

As an individual member, you can help. Email the President of the Treasury Board, Minister Yves Duclos, Jean-Yves.Duclos@parl.gc.ca, and tell him you are a PSAC member and you would like his government to get back to the bargaining table. Do not delay any further.

Additionally, please take a moment to update your contact information using the member portal. Your union shouldn't be communicating with you about union business on your work email. Whether it be information on strike or ratification votes, event or educational opportunities, PSAC wants to be able to share that information with you and be confident that you will receive it.

Lastly, if you have a individual or personal problem, the best place to start is at your Local or Component level. If you don't know how to reach your Local or Component, your PSAC regional office can help connect you. Contact your regional office here
