Today’s announcement that The Artic Gateway Group (AGG) will be transitioning 100% ownership to One North Community and Indigenous partners, was communicated to the union this morning as the press release went out. We look forward to working with One North as we continue to represent PSAC-UCTE member’s interests. The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) has a long and proud history of working with Indigenous employers across the country and in many different industries.

Friends,

This Monday, March 8th is International Women’s Day. This year’s theme is “Choose to Challenge.” It is rooted in the need for all of us to be responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day.

The PSAC Prairie Region Health and Safety Committee is proud to present the next in our series of H&S related information sessions. In this interactive format, we will cover the different protections available to prevent COVID transmission in the workplace and in public and how our best approach is through using multiple layers of protection. In this webinar, we will focus particular attention towards ventilation and its impacts on the spread of the virus. We will explore topics such as air flow, HVAC systems and  filtration methods.

This bulletin contains a deadline reminder on delegate and observer registration as well as on supplemental resolutions.

This bulletin also includes new information regarding the convention schedule where one additional day has been added. Therefore, the 8th Triennial Prairie Region Convention will be held virtually June 24-27, 2021.

Deadline for receipt of supplemental resolutions: February 19, 2021

Deadline for delegate and observer registration: February 19, 2021

RE: Black History Month

Friends,

February is Black History Month. It is a month to reflect on and celebrate the enormous contributions made by Black Canadians. One example close to home is James Calbert Best; among many other achievements, Best co-founded and became the first President (1957 to 1966) of the Civil Service Association of Canada (CSAC), which evolved into the Public Service Alliance of Canada.
