Education in Edmonton

This course is for PSAC women members who: • live and work in the Prairie region; • have completed the TUB (Talking Union Basics) course or have gained equivalent experience through being an active PSAC member; • would like to learn about issues facing women; • want to have a more active role in their union. • are ready to work with other women to build a stronger union. Course Overview:

Grievance Handling March 3-4, 2018 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Registration deadline: Friday, February 16, 2018 This two-day course for union stewards will develop participants’ knowledge, skills, and confidence in effectively solving problems at the workplace. A major portion of time will be spent on the relevant technical skills i.e. identifying, investigating, writing up, and presenting grievances

This two-day course is for First Nation, Inuit and Métis members who have had little or no exposure to the PSAC and would like to learn more about it. 

Health and Safety at PSAC Workplaces Edmonton- March 11, 2018 - Sunday - (9am-5pm)

Building the Union Through Stewards' Work Edmonton- March 10, 2018- Saturday (9am-5pm) This one-day course will support the critical role stewards play in building the union. Participants will explore how to engage more members in their union, identify a variety of strategies for addressing workplace issues and increase their confidence in talking with members.  Registration Deadline: February 23, 2018
