Women's Committee in Edmonton

You are invited to attend the 2016 Annual Planning Session for the Edmonton Regional Women's Committee. See attached poster for further details. Please post on union bulletin boards and give wide distribution.   2015 the Regional Women's Committee completed/participated in the followings projects: Tools for Schools, planting a Community Garden, AFL Brunch, Toques & Socks for the Homeless People, Remembrance Day ceremonies, etc.

The PSAC Edmonton Regional Women’s Committee under the PSAC Social Justice Fund Community Project will embark on the “Socks and Hats” project. The PSAC Edmonton Regional Committees are seeking the assistance of Northern Alberta Locals, and\or individual members to participate in the “Socks and Hats” project. We will be requesting donations of socks, mitts, toques, and toiletries for women, children and men which will be donated to the homeless shelter.

Regional Women's Committees are an integral part in ensuring our members have a local hub for political and community action and making those critical alliances with marginalized groups in our communities.  If you are interested in working on activities that affect women, build on our strengths in the PSAC and develop partnerships with community organizations committed to issues affecting Women please join us on November 12, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the PSAC Edmonton Regional Office.
