Women's Committee in Edmonton

On September 26, 2013 the CEIU Women’s Committee, Local 30876 at CPC Vegreville, held a contest to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. 

The Edmonton Regional Women's Committee will be having a meeting at the Edmonton Regional Office on Thursday, July 4, 2013.  All women are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP your attendance by email to chanc@psac.com before close of business on July 3, 2013, as food will be provided. Out of town Sisters are invited to participate by teleconference.  The Edmonton Regional Women’s Committee is seeking donations  from Locals for this year’s Tools for School campaign. Donations can be made by cash or cheque before August 30, 2012.These monies go to the Tools for School campaign put on by the United Way Alberta Capital Region. Last year, they filled 12,118 backpacks with school supplies through the annual program that aims to help more students succeed.

 The PSAC National Board of Directors is pleased to encourage and support active Regional Women’s Committees (RWC) throughout the country. As a focal point for mobilizing women members, the RWCs are essential to a strong union presence in the regions. They embody the spirit of grassroots organizing and membership participation.
