2016 PSAC Prairies Conference for Racially Visible Members
September 9 - 11, 2016. Radisson Hotel - 288 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg MB
Deadline for receipt of your application: Friday, July 22, 2016
The objectives of the 2016 PSAC Regional Conference for Racially Visible Members are to:
Court Challenges Program
PSAC welcomes the government delivering on its promise to reinstate the Court Challenges program. This will improve access to justice for equality-seeking groups.
The former Conservative government cancelled the Court Challenges Program in 2006. The budget document notes, “This program has been instrumental in bringing cases to the courts that clarify and assert Charter rights”. However, for the program to be meaningful, it must have adequate funding and resources.
We are happy to invite resolutions for the upcoming PSAC Prairies Regional Women's Conference, June 11-12, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
RESOLUTIONS submission deadline is Wednesday June 1, 2016 by 12 noon (Manitoba time)
