Updates

Following the disastrous flooding in Alberta last June, PSAC launched an appeal among Components, Regional Offices, Area Councils, Committees and Locals to support the PSAC Social Justice Fund’s Alberta Solidarity Fund.

The support was instantaneous and exceptionally generous. In just a few short weeks, we raised $22,800, which was donated to support organizations working in areas where our members have been affected and may be utilizing support services.

PSAC members won an important victory today in defence of collective bargaining. The government tried but failed to circumvent the bargaining process by forcing FB members to vote on an offer that was not agreed to at the bargaining table.

Today, we're releasing the 3.5 minute trailer as a preview of what's to come. The official videos will be released at varying intervals over the next year under a variety of themes from human rights to political action and more.

Each year on Labour Day we celebrate the achievements of all workers across Canada.

This year, let’s honour the thousands of hardworking PSAC members who have been affected by the federal government’s reckless slash and burn agenda. As of May 31, 21,734 of our members in 58 departments have received notices saying they could lose their jobs, including 2,711 from the Prairie Region.
