Today is the six month anniversary of the strike by 85 PSAC/UCTE members who work at St. John’s International Airport. In solidarity with their struggle for fairness and workers’ rights, please send this email to airport CEO Keith Collins and his board of directors.

Last year, we lost a colleague, friend and brother, with the passing of Brother Howard Willems, a former CFIA food inspector and PSAC activist.

Howard was diagnosed with mesothelioma, an asbestos related cancer of the lungs, and dedicated the final years of his life to advocating for asbestos awareness and protection. Though Howard is gone, the fight continues.

Read the March 8, 2013 edition of "Prairie Voice," an e-newsletter for PSAC Prairie Region members.

If you agree that you have to right to know if asbestos is present in your school, hospital or daycare, please sign this petition and share it with others.

March 8 is International Women’s Day, an annual celebration of women’s economic, political and social achievements. This year, PSAC sisters have a few more reasons to celebrate.

The 2013 PSAC Prairies Regional Women's Conference will be held May 3–5, 2013 at the Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta under the theme “Telling Our Stories”.
