Members across the Prairies participated in workplace actions to show support for their bargaining teams and call on the federal government to fix the Phoenix pay system.
On October 31st, PSAC members in the Prairies will be taking action in their workplaces to support our bargaining team members and keep up the pressure to ensure the Liberals drop the Conservative agenda and return to the table with proposals that are in line with our bargaining priorities.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada employees at the Case Processing Centre were shocked to learn on Thurs. October 27th that the Federal government plans to close their processing Centre in Vegreville and relocate it to Edmonton by the end of 2018.
The 2016–2018 Prairies Regional Education Plan was developed by the Prairie Region Council Education Committee in consultation with PSAC Prairies leaders, stewards, active union members, and regional office staff.
The federal government has confirmed it will not meet its October 31 deadline to clear the backlog of 80,000 cases that had accumulated as of June, due to the problems caused by the implementation of the Phoenix pay system.
