Last month, PSAC held leadership meetings across the country, including five in the Prairie Region. The purpose was to kick off the next phase of our We are ALL Affected campaign by taking it directly to our members. The meetings were meant to inform and train local presidents to organize and recruit others to hold one-to-one conversations with all their members. These conversations are designed to connect with members, hear their concerns and talk about the issues facing them and their union today.
Moving forward, the regional offices will hold campaigner training to equip members with the tools needed to build stronger connections between members and our union. The purpose of these workshops is to explain the overall purpose and scope of the current campaign. These sessions will review specific information about the threats facing PSAC members as a result of budget cuts, threats to collective agreement provisions, and union security.

Based on feedback and questions at regional leadership meetings, held throughout the Prairie Region in five different cities, we've created a Q&A page for members to get answers about your role as a PSAC campaigner, engaging members in face-to-face conversations, what the Rand formula is and what it means to the labour movement, and more. Do you have a question? Submit it here and check the Q&A: Rand Formula, Face-to-face discussions & More page for answers.
