Updates

On March 16, the PSAC Prairie Region hosted a telephone town hall for Treasury Board members to give updates on Treasury Board bargaining and answer questions. We called nearly 10,000 PSAC members employed by Treasury Board throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. 

PSAC National President Robyn Benson and Prairies REVP Marianne Hladun gave members an update on sick leave and bargaining and answered questions.

By now all PSAC members in the Prairie Region should have received a newsletter in the mail from containing important updates from your union and upcoming events. This information went out to over 20,000 members across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. A similar flyer was sent out last year and was appreciated by members.

PSAC Prairies held the third webinar in our Webinar Wednesday series on March 11. The webinar, titled Child Care: Our Vision for Tomorrow, took a look back at the issue of child care to see how far we've come and how far we still need to go. We also discussed the current landscape of child care in Canada, including current legislation and proposed policies aimed at families and child care.

The 2015 election is an opportunity to set a different course for our country.  When you go to the polls this year, bear in mind the Conservative government’s record on the public services Canadians depend on.
