As we have in the past few years, PSAC will once again boycott National Public Service Week (NPSW), June 14-20, 2015. We ask that our members not participate in activities in the workplace and encourage coworkers to join the boycott.

The 2015 PSAC Prairie Region Health and Safety Conference will be held November 21 - 22 in Winnipeg. The overall theme will deal with the current challenges in dealing with employers, with particular attention to the roles of Workplace Health and Safety Committees, and the challenges faced by committee members. 

The federal government is attempting to silence veterans who are speaking out about the devastating impact of Veterans Affairs office closures.

This webinar will build on the information discussed during the evening health and safety information sessions in several locations last fall. It will also allow members to ask questions about workplace health and safety concerns, such as mental health in the workplace, ergonomics, building a health and safety network and further training.

The three largest unions representing federal public service workers, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) and the Canadian Association of Professional Employees (CAPE) condemned Bill C-59, the omnibus 2015 Budget Implementation Act, in their presentations this week before the Senate and House standing committees on finance. The three unions are part of a broader alliance of 17 unions which represent federal public service workers.
