The new CFIA collective agreement is finally in effect. It was formally signed by PSAC and the agency on October 8, 2014. CFIA now has up to 90 days to implement the changes to the collective agreement, including adjusting rates of pay and issuing retroactive pay.

C-377 is a flawed Bill, aimed only at unions, and should not become law.

Tanna Pirie-Wilson spends a lot of time thinking about the impact of government cuts on Aboriginal communities in Canada. As a member of PSAC’s National Aboriginal People’s Circle (NAPC), she hears from First Nations organizations that have seen their budgets cut and from Aboriginal union members whose jobs are at risk.

Affected notices for wave 3 and 4 transfers were handed out to 974 members who work as pay and compensation advisers in 22 departments across the country.
