This video explains how the PSAC works. PSAC represents more than 170,000 workers in every province and territory in Canada and in locations around the world. Our members work for federal government departments and agencies, Crown Corporations, universities, casinos, community services agencies, Aboriginal communities, airports, and the security sector among others. PSAC is headquartered in Ottawa with 23 regional offices across Canada.

This government has cut billions of dollars from public services and thousands of federal government jobs. These cuts are putting public services and public safety on the line. Harper’s shameful record is a resounding failure.

The following flow charts are meant to assist members in understanding how the bargaining process has changed due to Bill C-4, especially with respect to essential services. Each chart follows the same template but is marked with an expiry date unique to the corresponding collective agreement.

These charts were developed for the National Bargaining Conference and are also being distributed at multi-local meetings throughout the Prairies.

Less than two weeks remain to complete the first national survey assessing the impact of domestic violence in the workplace.

PSAC is a proud supporter of LGBT rights in the workplace and across Canada. In this video, PSAC members discuss the evolution of human rights in the workplace and their own personal experiences.

Timothy Hunt, GLBT Representative on PSAC's Prairie Region Council, is one of the PSAC members featured in the video. He speaks about his experience with harassment in the workplace because of his sexuality. The resulting grievance process and his experiences since have taught him a lot, and that's knowledge he wants to share with others.

Each year the month of June brings Pride festivities throughout the Prairie Region and around the world. Pride is an opportunity to celebrate diversity in the GLBT community, and recognize the contributions and accomplishments of our GLBT sisters and brothers.
