The PSAC has taken the first step in its legal challenge against Bill C-4, the legislation that has gutted the collective bargaining rights of federal public service workers.

One year ago, PSAC stood together with the Idle No More movement to defend our lands and our country.

In the Prairies, we teamed up with William Singer III, a First Nations artist and activist who has been instrumental to the movement in Lethbridge and surrounding areas, to produce a special Idle No More button.

Changes to the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) were made following discussions between Treasury Board and the Plan's Partners Committee, which includes federal public sector unions, retirees and employer representatives. Discussions were held under threat by the Government to legislate rollbacks to the Plan. 

From March 21 - April 4 PSAC members will participate in PSAC's Social Justice Fund delegation to Guatemala. They will support the efforts of grassroots organizations to improve livelihoods of Mayan campesinos in Guatemala through initiatives based on social justice and fair trade.
