Recent media coverage claims that nearly half of public servants paid by Phoenix have reported problems. However, this new data cannot be accepted at face value.

The 2017 Public Service Employee Survey (PSES) was launched Monday and is being rolled out to departments this week. Members will have from Aug. 21 to Sept. 29, 2017, to complete the questionnaire.

Sister Marianne Hladun was on Newstalk 770 out of Calgary today to discuss the Phoenix pay debacle. You can listen here.

Select 11:00am and fast forward to about the 38th minute (image attached).

PSAC is inviting you to take a short survey about language training and testing within the federal public service. The survey is short with 10 multiple choice questions and a space for other comments. Participation is voluntary and all answers are anonymous.

PSAC members staged the protest in the rain on Wednesday in front of Winnipeg South Centre MP Jim Carr's constitiuency office, saying they want a concrete update on the problems plaguing the government's Phoenix pay system.

Despite an attempt this weekend by the union to return to the table to end the Winnipeg Airport strike that has been in effect since July 24, the Winnipeg Airports Authority (WAA) is doubling-down on its efforts to contract out their employees’ work.

WAA has been falsely telling the media that we did not respond to their last offer before the strike began. We did respond even though they didn’t like the answer but just to be sure, we attempted to re-start a meaningful negotiation this weekend and WAA’s answer was clear.
