Updates

On April 28 people across Canada stop to remember workers killed, injured or disabled on the job. We ask that on April 28 you and your union local take a moment to honour their memory by joining local events or having one at your local.

You can find an event near you by scrolling down to view regional listings below.

This Earth Day, PSAC is calling on all governments to act on climate change.

The fight against climate change will require a public service direction and response equal to that of the Second. World War. PSAC members work at Environment Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Parks Canada and all of the other federal departments that need to be involved in a successful campaign. They are experts in a broad range of climate change issues.

The program consists of 14 scholarships for dependant children of PSAC members and 3 scholarships for PSAC members who will be attending university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning on a full-time basis.

The scholarships are awarded based on the merit of the 800-word essay, video, infographic or song according to the topic determined for the given year.

PSAC offers the following scholarships:

  • one (1) $4,000 PSAC-AGR National Scholarship;

After years of campaigning by the PSAC and other unions, we applaud the recent decision by Public Services and Procurement Canada to ban the use of asbestos in all new construction and renovation projects effective April 1, 2016. That includes buildings at the design phase.
