A series of public consultations organized by the New Democratic Party will give Canadians a voice on the changes that will come with the adoption of the government’s omnibus budget implementation bill, C-38. There is currently only one meeting scheduled within the Prairie Region:

A letter from Sister Marianne Hladun, Regional Executive Vice-President for the Prairies, recognizing the International Day Against Homophobia, a day that aims to reach all groups of society, regardless of their sexual orientation, to promote diversity and foster acceptance for LGBT peoples.

Since the release of the federal budget, thousands of PSAC members have received notices from their departments saying they could lose their jobs.

Unfortunately, due to the disorganized manner this government discloses the information to PSAC, we don't always know exactly where our members are affected, or how it will impact services to Canadians.

Marianne Hladun, Regional Executive Vice-President for the Prairies, addresses the members in her first letter since being sworn in at the PSAC 16th National Triennial Convention.
