We all like to plan for our future: saving up for a family vacation, buying a new car, or retiring at the cabin. But we also need to plan to ensure our family's financial security in a situation we can't always predict –– death. 

Currently, only 11 per cent of the Superannuation death benefit has been applied for, a number that APSAR Prairies Regional Vice-President Frank McGregor finds unsettling.

 

As part of the Regional Office Team, the Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative services that enable the Regional Office to fulfill its role in a timely and credible manner. 

Over one hundred people attended the Employment Insurance (EI) forums in Winnipeg on September 6 and Brandon on September 5, 2012.

September 15, 2012 is PSAC's National Day of Action with special events happening throughout the Prairie Region and across the country to highlight the We Are ALL Affected campaign.

Join community members, labour organizations, public service workers and their families for a national day of action to protest cuts made to  federal responsibilities such as food inspection, Old Age Security, the environment, parks, health care, search and rescue, assistance to our veterans, border security and transportation safety.   

 

Prairies REVP Marianne Hladun wrote a follow up letter to Saskatoon-Humboldt MP Brad Trost regarding the Conservative government's conflicting actions around human trafficking after the original letter from July 3, 2012 was ignored.
